How is the 'Active Workers' metric on the Daily Statistics page calculated?

Calculation

The "Active Workers" metric on the Daily Statistics page is calculated based on how many workers are online over a 24-hour period. A worker is considered active if it has submitted at least 1 accepted share. For a given 24 hour period, 24 hourly samples are taken for active workers, which is then averaged to obtain the “Active Workers” metric.

Examples

  1. If there are 2 workers where 1 worker is online for 24-hours and another worker offline for 24 hours, the “Active Workers” value for this 24-hour period would be 1.0.

  2. If there are 2 workers where 1 worker is online for 24-hours and another worker offline for 12 hours, the “Active Workers” value for this 24-hour period would be 1.5.
