How to use the Foundry USA Pool and API Keys/Personal Access Tokens with Microsoft Excel?
Connecting your API credentials to Microsoft Excel
You can connect to the Foundry USA Pool API from Excel with either type of API credential:
- API keys, which are scoped to a specific Group Account or Sub-Account
- Personal access tokens (PATs), which are read-only credentials tied to your user account and available to Owner and Accountant roles
The steps in Excel are the same for both. The only difference is the request header you enter in step 2. For details on creating and managing personal access tokens, see this article.

Click "Data" tab → "Get Data" → "From Other Sources" → "From Web"

- Fill in the other details like in the screenshot below.
- The first URL part is the API endpoint.
- The second URL part is the first parameter and should start with question mark.
- For example: ?coin=BTC
- The rest of the URL parts are the rest of the parameters and must start with &.
- For example: &start=2025-06-24
- In the "HTTP request header parameters" section, enter the header for the credential you are using:
- If you are using an API key: enter X-API-KEY in the first field, then your actual API key in the second field.
- If you are using a personal access token: enter Authorization in the first field, then Bearer followed by a space and your token in the second field. For example: Bearer fdpat_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
- Click OK

Select “Anonymous” on the left, then click “Connect”.

Click “To Table”

Leave the settings default (shown below) and click ok.

Click the expand button (circled in red), then click “OK”, then click “Close & Load”.
